eat better

We buy from local and family farmers when possible. We go out of our way to avoid agribusiness with their pesticides, antibiotics, hormones and highly efficient (but highly stressful) CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations.)

Of course, it takes a watchful eye to make good food, which is why we prepare a majority of our ingredients in-house, from scratch. From our flavored cream cheeses to the roasted vegetables and spreads in our sandwiches, we only use the freshest ingredients: hand-chopped and blended daily in every one of our cafés.

We believe that when we buy good, healthy vegetables, meat and dairy products, it creates demand that helps local and family farmers do more business. And that’s better business for all of us.

where it comes from

In 2010 we made the decision to purchase our ham, bacon, chicken, turkey and eggs from responsible suppliers who support family farms that raise healthy animals on nutritious feed and plenty of water. They also have room to grow, naturally.
